Josh Scheutzow is the founder of A Carpenter’s Son, which began with him slinging cutting boards and t-shirts out of his garage with the goal to raise some extra money for his son’s adoption. Reflecting on the journey, Josh remarks,  “I fell in love with building and creating along the way, and have stumbled my way from there to here with a lot of help, grace, good luck, hard work, and reckless optimism.”

From those early days to now, there have been many changes in the shape of the business and the role Josh plays. Some of the work he's proudest of is assembling a world-class team of professional furniture makers building pieces he could only dream of a few short years ago.

Well known for his compassionate nature, quick sense of humor, and above all, a relentless dedication to fostering community, Josh leaves a lasting impact on everyone he encounters.
