1) What type of projects do you work on?
We are furniture makers at heart, meaning we relish any opportunity for custom furniture in homes, offices, restaurants, and beyond. We specialize in free-standing furniture pieces of all types: tables, desks, credenzas, sideboards, vanities, beds, and on. However, this hardly captures the full extent of what we can offer. As custom furniture makers, we are happy to bring your wildest ideas to life.
2) How do I get pricing on my project?
The easiest way is to fill out our contact form here. Based on the information you provide, we’ll compile an estimate for you, and if this aligns with your budget, we’ll get started with you on moving forward. 3) What is your usual lead time?
Our lead time varies depending on the size of the project. For most projects, you can expect 12-14 weeks. This timeline begins after the design has been approved and the deposit has been received.
4) Where do you source your lumber?
We are very fortunate to be located in Central Ohio, as the region produces large quantities of high-quality domestic hardwoods like walnut, oak, maple, and hickory. We are lucky to have strong relationships with sawmills across the region that sustainably harvest beautiful lumber.
We also regularly work with sustainably imported exotic species. Whatever your preferences are, rest assured we will find the right material for you.
5) What type of finish do you use?
We love supporting other local businesses and are proud to use Woodwright Finishes on our furniture. Every project we do is unique, and Woodwright offers an array of finishes that fit the needs of any environment.
We primarily use catalyzed conversion varnish, a truly high-end performance coating that enhances grain characteristics and provides excellent resistance to scratching, marring, moisture, and chemicals.
6) What kind of warranty do you offer?
We stand proudly by the quality of our work and offer a 1-year warranty ensuring that your furniture is free of defects in material and/or workmanship attributable to manufacturing from the date of the buyer’s receipt of the product. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper handling after merchandise is received or from exposure to weather or extreme atmospheric conditions.
7) What other materials do you work with?
We love adding other elements to our furniture. Concrete, stone, upholstery, and metals can all be incorporated into the design to enhance the natural beauty of the wood. We have a strong network of artisans and makers to help bring any vision to life.
8) What should I use to clean my furniture?
The products that we use to finish our tables are tough but not bulletproof, and it is important to use the appropriate cleaner. Any mild, ammonia-free furniture cleaner that does not contain silicone or wax will work exceptionally on our finish. The off-the-shelf product we recommend is Guardsman Clean and Polish for Wood Furniture.
Woodwright Spotless Hospitality Furniture & Glass Cleanser is the most ideal cleanser recommended by the manufacturer. It is formulated specifically to maintain the beauty and luster of furniture, and it can be purchased on the Woodwright Finishes website.
9) What are your hours?
Our shop is open Monday to Thursday from 6:30am to 5:00pm. Visits are by appointment only.
